The advantage of a Class G/H amplifier is significant over a traditional Class A/B or typical class D amplifier: the most important being power efficiency. The difference between classes is the more efficient power supply: the higher the class; the more efficient the power supply is (Class A/B is the least efficient). Class G/H amplifiers are 30% - 50% more efficient than the standard Class D amplifiers. What this means to you as a boat owner is 30% - 50% more battery time when your boat engine is off; which in return makes it less likely to add a costly 2nd battery, and more importantly gives you peace of mind that your boat will start after playing your stereo for long periods with the engine off.
