Ski, wakeboard, and surf on this boat
Selling our 2003 Malibu Wakesetter VLX. This is a particularly versatile Wakesetter because of the SV23 hull, which was designed to balance watersports performance with good handling and tracking. It makes a strong wake for wakeboarding, can be weighted for surfing, and is still a very capable ski boat. It’s a great option if you want one boat that can do all three rather than a newer boat that is heavily specialized toward wake sports.
The boat has a wakeboard tower, fat sacs/ballast, two-battery setup, internal ice chest, open bow, and ample storage. It has 1,341.6 engine hours and runs strong. The boat has a listed capacity of 11 people.
I believe we are the 3rd owners. I purchased it from a family in New York a couple of years ago, alas, my family is spending more time on the sports field and less time on the water, so it's time to pass it along.
For me, this generation of Malibu appealing because of its composite fiberglass construction. The hull, floor and structural components were built using Malibu's fiberglass composite construction rather than traditional wood stringers, so there is no wood-stringer rot to worry about.

We're still using the boat and won't be winterizing it for another couple of months, so if you're seriously interested, you're welcome to take it out for a sea trial before purchasing. I'd rather have a buyer actually drive it, see how it runs and make sure it's the right boat for them.

Located in Holliston, would probably sea trial in Shrewsbury. Serious inquiries welcome.
