Surfing: the best 23’ surf boats cost north of $200,000+ and what you get is a pro level wave or near enough straight from the factory. There is no secret to this, it’s simply weight for displacement. Quick math will reveal on a 23’ hull to get a pro level wave you just need to be displacing between 10,500-12,000lbs+ when in the water. The more weight, the better, displacement is king regarding waves for strength (push), height and length.

Comparison to $200,000+ Surf Boats: Below are the specs of 3 – $200,000+ 23’ boats for comparison, the RI230 from Centurion, Super Air Nautique G23 and the Supra SL. As this Mojo sets right now, it has more weight than even the Centurion which is currently considered by many to have the best surf wave right out of the factory.

Mojo Cool Factors: What’s cool is the Mojo weighs even more in the water and bonus, this is all fully automated in the Mojo! Simply flip the 3 rocker switches (one for each bag) or tap the 7” touch screen to fill all the bags up, pick the side you want to surf and hit the gas! The Raptor 6.2 V8 with upgraded prop pulls the surfers right out of the water even with a full crew. And with the sound deadening upgrade and the Stainless Steel downpipe, it’s actually pretty quiet. The surf tabs clean up the wave with lots of push, height and length. It does all this whether you have 1 person on the boat or 17!

Storage and Flexibility: Storage and flexibility abounds in this boat. There is a trash can and flip flop locker in the floor. There are at least a dozen cup holders, half a dozen mobile phone slots, 2 wireless phone chargers. The seating configuration can be completely changed from a large lounge area to a sofa like configuration. There is an abundance of storage under the port and starboard hinged benches. Plus there is even more storage under port side windshield area and a giant glove box with top and side access. Most of the ballast is under the floor which is a huge upgrade from many of the competitors in this class that will put ballast bags on the floor under all the seats stealing precious storage. On this boat you can have 4 families of 4, all of them can bring there towel bags and food and drinks and it will all fit out of sight even with 6 surf boards and lifejackets for all.

Specs: The Mojo from the factory only weighs in at 9,220lbs in the water  (For 2022 the Moomba Mojo came with 4,000lbs ballast, the 2025 now have 4,500lbs) * However * with all the upgrades, this Mojo weighs in at 11,520lbs! When you compare specs below to the $200,000+ boats, you’ll notice this boat has more weight in the water than any other. But what's great is dry weight is the least, so for towing, it's the easiest! Boat Details: Still under factory 5 year warranty, low hours at 176  as of June 2025 but may go up. Kept in covered storage, first and only owner, non smokers. We have all original paperwork, booklets, stickers, etc. All recommended service has been done at the local dealer Southtown Watersports in Raleigh, NC where boat was purchased.

The Moomba Mojo was fully redesigned inside and out with a new hull, new interior and surf setup for 2021. This is a 2022, the second year model after the full redesign which I like because they worked out all the bugs on the 2021.
