Air Nautique 236 Boats for Sale
The Nautique 236 is a flagship-level V-drive that marked a major step forward in wake boat design for Correct Craft. At nearly 24 feet long, it delivered the largest interior space and most advanced hull technology in the Nautique lineup of its era. Designed to produce massive, clean wakes for wakeboarding and surfing, the 236 offered professional-level performance combined with luxury fit and finish. Its deep hull, refined weight distribution, and available factory ballast made it one of the most capable large inboards of the late 2000s. For riders and families who wanted top-end wake size, exceptional build quality, and the prestige of Nautique’s engineering, the 236 became an instant favorite.
The Nautique 236 was introduced around 2007 as the successor to the Air Nautique 226 and quickly became Correct Craft’s premium V-drive offering. Measuring 23 feet 8 inches in length with a 100-inch beam, the 236 featured a newly designed deep hull with an aggressive running surface optimized for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. The increased depth and transom deadrise allowed it to carry more ballast and passengers while maintaining a balanced attitude and consistent wake shape.
The model was marketed as the Super Air Nautique 236, and it set new standards for interior comfort and wake performance. Factory ballast systems totaling over 900 pounds were standard on most models, and additional plug-and-play ballast options became common as owners sought even larger wakes. The 236’s wake profile was characterized by a long, rampy shape with a solid, well-defined lip—ideal for riders looking for both vertical pop and smooth transitions.
Power options included the PCM Excalibur 5.7L 343, the ZR6 6.0L 375, and later the ZR 409 and ZR 450 engines, providing strong torque for heavy loads and surf setups. The 236 also introduced several interior upgrades not seen in smaller models, including full wraparound lounge seating, an integrated cooler, large transom walk-through, and abundant under-seat storage.
In 2009, the 236 received subtle refinements to upholstery, helm design, and ballast controls. By 2011, it was joined by the Super Air Nautique 230, which would eventually replace it as the company’s main large-wake model. The 236 remained in production through approximately 2012 and is still highly respected for its combination of luxury, durability, and pure wake performance.
Today, the Nautique 236 is regarded as one of the best all-around wake and surf boats of its time. Its deep hull and wide beam make it comfortable for long days on the water, while its wake and surf capabilities continue to satisfy serious riders. On the used market, it holds strong value due to its build quality, timeless design, and proven on-water performance.
