The Centurion FS22 was introduced in the mid-2010s as part of the “FS” (Future Series) lineup, alongside the larger FS33 and FS44 models. The FS series represented Centurion’s transition from its classic Enzo design toward a more modern surf-optimized platform, combining aggressive styling with new innovations in ballast and wave control.

Introduction and Positioning
Debuting around the 2014 model year, the FS22 was built to deliver professional-level wakesurf and wakeboard performance in a more compact, 22-foot hull. The FS22 quickly gained recognition for its ability to produce long, powerful surf waves while maintaining agility and fuel efficiency. It carried forward the DNA of the Centurion Enzo hull—famous for its deep-V shape and surf potential—but integrated newer technology for faster ballast fill times and on-the-fly wave shaping.

Hull Design and Surf Performance
The FS22 used Centurion’s Modified Deep-V hull, providing 20 degrees of deadrise for an exceptionally smooth ride. This hull design helped the boat carve through rough water while maintaining clean, symmetrical wakes. It was one of the most surf-capable boats of its size, capable of generating large, well-shaped waves with excellent push even at lower speeds.

Centurion equipped the FS22 with its revolutionary RAMFILL ballast system, which used underfloor tanks that could fill in under two minutes for rapid setup. Combined with QuickSurf plates, riders could instantly transfer the wave from side to side without adjusting ballast. A CATS (Centurion Articulating Tracking System) fin allowed the driver to fine-tune wave shape and balance, making the FS22 one of the most adjustable surf boats in its class.

Power and Performance
The FS22 came standard with PCM inboard engines ranging from the 343-horsepower EX343 to the 409-horsepower PCM ZR409. These engines delivered strong torque for loaded surf sessions and reliable long-term performance. The FS22’s deep hull gave it excellent handling at speed, while Zero Off speed control ensured precise and repeatable pulls for wakeboarding and surfing alike.

Interior and Features
Inside, the FS22 offered seating for up to 14 passengers with deep, wraparound lounge seating and premium vinyl finishes. Centurion focused on maximizing space and comfort without compromising function—storage compartments were large and easily accessible, and the transom walkthrough provided convenient access to the swim platform. The helm featured Centurion’s ProVision touchscreen display, giving the driver full control of ballast, speed, lighting, and surf systems. Optional Wet Sounds audio, custom flooring, and upgraded lighting packages elevated the luxury and on-water experience.

End of Production and Legacy
The Centurion FS22 remained in production until around 2018, after which the brand transitioned to the new Opti-V hull used in the Fi and Ri series. The FS22 remains one of the best mid-size surf boats of its era, known for its impressive wave shape, smooth ride, and solid build quality. It’s a highly desirable choice on the used market for riders who want the surf power of an Enzo-based hull with modern features and technology.
