The RS245 sits in the size class most serious surf buyers shop, and it is equipped like a flagship rather than a mid model. Ballast is spread evenly through the hull instead of piled in the back, which is a big part of why the wave stays long and clean rather than steep and short. The Surge Thruster makes docking and low speed handling far easier than a 24 foot inboard has any right to be, and the 92 gallon fuel tank keeps a loaded boat out all day.
