Malibu vRide Boats for Sale
The Malibu vRide is a versatile wake and surf boat that delivers proven Malibu performance in a value-focused package. Built on legendary Wakesetter hulls, the vRide series offers big wakes, reliable power, and premium craftsmanship at an attainable price. Whether you are wakeboarding, surfing, or cruising, the Malibu vRide provides the perfect mix of fun, function, and Malibu quality.
The Malibu vRide series was introduced in 2005 as a way to bring Malibu’s proven Wakesetter technology to riders who wanted high-end performance without the full premium price. These boats were based on previous-generation Wakesetter hulls that had already earned world-class reputations for producing large, consistent wakes. This gave the vRide the same proven performance as Malibu’s flagship models but with simpler trim packages and fewer optional upgrades.
Originally available in a 21-foot version, the vRide lineup later expanded into the 21 vRide and 23 vRide, offering buyers two distinct sizes that balanced wake size, interior space, and storage. The 21 vRide was built on the hull of the earlier Wakesetter VLX, while the 23 vRide shared its foundation with the larger Wakesetter LSV. This approach gave both models the same legendary wake and surf characteristics as their premium counterparts.
Both versions were powered by reliable Indmar inboard engines such as the Monsoon 320 or Hammerhead 340, providing plenty of torque for wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and tubing. The V-drive configuration allowed for spacious seating layouts with deep freeboard and comfortable capacity for 11 to 13 passengers. Malibu’s attention to balance and hull design gave the vRide line the same impressive wave performance that made the Wakesetter name famous.
Inside, the Malibu vRide featured high-quality upholstery, smart storage, and optional towers, racks, and ballast systems. It offered a clean, functional interior that emphasized performance and practicality. The fit and finish reflected Malibu’s reputation for craftsmanship, even in its value-oriented models.
The vRide series remained in production through the early 2010s before Malibu replaced it with newer 21- and 23-foot designs in the Wakesetter lineup. Today, the Malibu vRide is one of the best values in the used wake boat market, offering authentic Malibu performance, legendary reliability, and excellent surf potential at an affordable price.
