MasterCraft X25 Boats for Sale
The MasterCraft X25 is a 22-foot premium wake and surf boat that delivers exceptional all-around performance, comfort, and style. Designed for riders who want professional-level wakes and waves without stepping into the largest boats in the lineup, the X25 combines advanced engineering, refined design, and MasterCraft’s proven quality. Known for its powerful surf wave, agile handling, and deep, comfortable interior, the X25 remains one of the most balanced and respected boats in MasterCraft’s history.
The MasterCraft X25 was introduced in 2010 and quickly became a cornerstone of the company’s X-Series lineup. Built to deliver top-tier surf and wake performance in a mid-size package, the X25 measured 22 feet 4 inches in length with a 102-inch beam. Its deep V hull and refined running surface were designed to produce clean, consistent wakes for wakeboarding and large, powerful waves for wakesurfing, all while maintaining a smooth, comfortable ride.
The X25 featured a high freeboard and deep cockpit, giving passengers a secure and comfortable experience while helping the boat displace more water for larger waves. It carried a generous factory ballast capacity of over 1,000 pounds, with the option to add plug-and-play ballast for more advanced setups. When equipped with MasterCraft’s Gen 2 Surf System, the X25 delivered a long, well-shaped surf wave with plenty of push and adjustable shape for riders of all abilities.
Power for the X25 came from Ilmor and Indmar inboard engines, typically ranging from 350 to 430 horsepower depending on the year and configuration. These engines provided smooth acceleration, strong torque for towing, and reliable performance even under heavy load. The V-drive layout placed the engine in the rear, optimizing weight distribution and maximizing interior space.
Inside, the X25 showcased MasterCraft’s attention to comfort and detail. The interior featured wraparound lounge seating, a wide bow, and premium materials throughout. The deep hull allowed for higher seat backs and abundant storage beneath the cushions. The cockpit could seat up to 16 passengers, making it ideal for larger families or groups. The transom included convertible seating and a convenient walkthrough to the swim platform, which was finished in nonslip surf-friendly decking.
The helm featured MasterCraft’s ergonomic design with easy-to-read instrumentation and touchscreen controls for speed, ballast, and surf profiles. The ZFT tower came standard, equipped with board racks, speakers, and bimini options. High-end audio systems, LED lighting, and multiple interior color schemes made the X25 both functional and stylish.
On the water, the X25 was praised for its versatility and balance. At wakeboarding speeds, it produced a smooth, ramp-style wake with a solid lip and wide landing zone. When set up for surfing, its deep hull and surf system generated clean, powerful waves on both sides. Despite its size, the X25 handled responsively, maintaining the nimble feel that MasterCraft is known for while offering excellent stability at speed or under load.
Production of the X25 continued through 2016, when it was replaced by the MasterCraft XT22. However, the X25 remains highly sought after on the used market for its perfect balance of size, performance, and luxury. It represents one of the most refined designs in MasterCraft’s modern era and continues to impress riders who value versatility and premium quality in a surf and wake boat.
