Moomba Mobius LSV Boats for Sale
The Moomba Mobius LSV is one of the most popular and enduring models in Moomba’s history. Known for its balanced size, versatile performance, and strong value, the 21-foot V-drive LSV became a benchmark for affordable wake and surf capability. Built with Indmar power, proven hull design, and Moomba’s attention to reliability, the Mobius LSV offers the perfect mix of performance and practicality for riders and families alike.
The Moomba Mobius LSV was introduced in the early 2000s as part of Moomba’s growing V-drive lineup. It quickly became the company’s best-selling model thanks to its ideal blend of size, price, and capability. Built by Skier’s Choice in Maryville, Tennessee, the LSV was designed to bring big-boat performance to a more accessible price range, giving riders a reliable and comfortable platform for wakeboarding, surfing, and family boating.
Measuring about 21 feet 6 inches in length, the Mobius LSV was perfectly sized for versatility. The V-drive layout moved the engine to the rear, opening up interior space and improving wake characteristics. The hull produced a well-shaped wakeboard wake with clean transitions, and as wake surfing gained popularity, the LSV proved easy to set up for surf use with additional ballast or aftermarket surf systems. Its performance balance made it one of the most capable all-around towboats in its class.
Powering the LSV were Indmar inboard engines, most commonly the 5.7 liter Assault or later the Raptor 400 in more recent models. These engines delivered strong low-end torque, reliable towing power, and efficient performance. Combined with Moomba’s sturdy construction and straightforward mechanical systems, the Mobius LSV developed a reputation for reliability and low ownership cost.
The LSV’s interior layout reflected Moomba’s emphasis on comfort and function. The wide beam and open bow provided generous seating, while the wraparound lounge maximized usable space. Storage was plentiful throughout, and the deep seating made passengers feel secure even in rougher water. Materials were durable and built for heavy recreational use, continuing Moomba’s reputation for practical, value-driven craftsmanship.
Throughout its production, the Mobius LSV received incremental updates that improved ballast capacity, fit and finish, and surf performance. Later versions came equipped with Moomba’s Digital Cruise Pro speed control, factory ballast tanks, and surf systems, making it a legitimate wake and surf platform out of the box. Despite these advancements, it remained one of the most affordable V-drive boats in its class, appealing to both entry-level buyers and seasoned riders looking for dependability and simplicity.
The Mobius LSV was eventually succeeded by the Moomba Makai and Mojo models as the brand modernized its lineup, but its legacy continues as one of the most successful and well-rounded boats Moomba ever produced. It remains a highly sought-after option on the used market for its reliable performance, manageable size, and proven wake ve
