The Supra Conbrio is a classic inboard ski boat that offered a balance of performance and comfort for families who loved water sports. Known for its soft, clean wakes and smooth handling, the Conbrio delivered strong slalom performance while providing a roomier interior than many traditional ski boats of its time. With its reliable inboard power and quality construction, the Supra Conbrio remains a favorite among ski enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate its timeless design and dependable on-water feel.

The Supra Conbrio was introduced in the late 1980s by Skier’s Choice as a more spacious companion to the well-known Supra Comp TS6M. Built in Maryville, Tennessee, the Conbrio shared much of the same proven running surface as the Comp but featured a slightly larger cockpit and bow area to create a family-friendly ski boat without sacrificing performance. Measuring around 20 feet in length, it maintained Supra’s commitment to producing precision tournament-level wakes while adding comfort features for all-day recreation.

Early Supra Conbrio models were powered by reliable inboard engines such as the PCM 351 Ford or Indmar small block engines, typically producing between 240 and 260 horsepower. These engines provided a strong holeshot for deep-water starts and steady pull through the slalom course. The hull design produced a clean, soft wake that appealed to serious skiers while still allowing recreational wakeboarding or tubing.

In the early 1990s, the Conbrio received interior refinements that included updated upholstery, more integrated storage, and improved instrument layouts. Supra’s focus on craftsmanship was evident in its hand-laid fiberglass construction and use of quality gelcoat finishes. By the mid-1990s, as wakeboarding began to influence inboard design, the Conbrio gradually gave way to newer Supra models that offered more ballast and wake-shaping potential.

Even today, the Supra Conbrio stands out among classic ski boats for its reliable construction, excellent handling, and smooth performance. It remains a valued option on the used market for boaters who want a true direct-drive inboard that combines skiing precision with comfort and character.
