Supra Launch Boats for Sale
The Supra Launch series helped define the modern era of inboard wake and ski boats with a balance of power, quality, and versatility. Built for riders who wanted competition-level performance in a straightforward, well-crafted design, the Supra Launch, Launch SS, and Launch LTS offered strong wakes, reliable inboard power, and durable construction. These boats earned respect for their handling, smooth ride, and ability to deliver clean wakes for both wakeboarding and skiing. The Supra Launch lineup remains a popular choice among used inboard buyers who want a proven performer backed by Supra’s reputation for craftsmanship.
The Supra Launch line was introduced in the late 1990s as Supra’s new generation of performance inboards aimed at the growing wakeboard and crossover market. Built by Skier’s Choice in Maryville, Tennessee, the Launch replaced earlier direct-drive ski models and marked the brand’s transition toward multi-sport performance.
The Supra Launch (standard direct-drive version) featured a 21-foot hull designed to produce firm, symmetrical wakes while maintaining good slalom capability. Its layout provided ample interior space for passengers and gear, making it a favorite for families who wanted tournament-style performance in a practical size. Most models were powered by Indmar Assault or EFI engines rated between 310 and 340 horsepower, offering quick acceleration and steady pull for riders.
The Supra Launch SS (Super Sport) introduced the V-drive configuration to the Launch name, shifting the engine to the rear to increase interior space and enhance wake size. The SS version produced a more pronounced wake that appealed to wakeboarders while maintaining the smooth ride Supra boats were known for.
The Supra Launch LTS (Launch Tournament Ski) was a refined direct-drive version developed for competitive-level skiers who wanted small, soft wakes and excellent tracking. Measuring about 20 feet in length, the LTS was built on a narrower, flatter hull optimized for slalom performance. It became known as one of the best crossover boats Supra ever built for those who enjoyed both skiing and light wakeboarding.
Throughout the early 2000s, Supra continued to improve interior materials, ballast systems, and towers across the Launch series. The boats featured Supra’s Rad-A-Cage tower, composite stringers, premium upholstery, and precise gelcoat finishes. By the mid-2000s, Supra phased the Launch name into the “Launch SSV” and “Sunsport” lines as wake-specific designs evolved, but the original Launch, SS, and LTS models remain valued for their quality and versatility.
Today, the Supra Launch series stands as an important chapter in wake boat history. These boats offer dependable Indmar power, classic lines, and performance that appeals to riders and skiers alike. They continue to hold value on the used market for their craftsmanship and proven all-around capability.
