Supra Launch 22 SSV Boats for Sale
The Supra Launch 22 SSV is one of the most well-known models in Supra’s history, offering a proven combination of size, power, and performance for serious wakeboarders and families alike. Built to produce clean, powerful wakes with the comfort of a deep, roomy interior, the 22 SSV delivers dependable Indmar performance and high-quality construction. Its versatile design and balance of features have made it one of the most sought-after Supra models on the used market for those who value durability, comfort, and true inboard wake performance.
The Supra Launch 22 SSV was introduced in the early 2000s as part of Supra’s V-drive performance lineup built by Skier’s Choice in Maryville, Tennessee. The “SSV” designation stood for Supra Sport V-drive, identifying it as a wake-focused model. At 22 feet in length with an approximate 8-foot 4-inch beam, the 22 SSV offered a comfortable interior layout with room for family and friends while maintaining the performance needed for competitive-level wakeboarding.
Early versions of the 22 SSV came equipped with Indmar Assault or Indmar 340 engines, producing between 325 and 340 horsepower. The rear-mounted V-drive configuration helped generate a strong, ramp-style wake that riders could customize using the factory ballast system. Standard ballast capacity was about 1,200 pounds, with optional upgrades allowing even more fine-tuning for wake size and shape.
Supra’s deep freeboard hull design gave the 22 SSV a stable, confident feel in rough water while contributing to its well-formed wakes. The boat came equipped with Supra’s Rad-A-Cage tower, offering strength and functionality for wakeboarders, along with premium vinyl seating and practical storage solutions. From 2004 through 2009, Supra made incremental updates to the 22 SSV’s interior materials, tower design, and electronic systems, including improved ballast controls and optional PerfectPass speed management.
By 2010, Supra transitioned its model naming toward the Sunsport and SA series as the company developed new surf systems and hull technology. However, the Launch 22 SSV remains one of the most balanced and capable models Supra ever produced. It is often praised for its build quality, consistent wake shape, and all-around versatility for both wakeboarding and family recreation.
Today, the Supra Launch 22 SSV holds a strong position on the used market as a reliable, high-performance V-drive. Its combination of size, storage, and on-water performance continues to appeal to riders who appreciate classic Supra engineering and craftsmanship.
