The Supra Launch 24 SSV is a large, versatile V-drive wake boat built for riders who want maximum space and performance. Known for producing powerful wakes and smooth handling, the 24 SSV combines Supra’s proven deep hull design, strong Indmar power, and premium interior comfort. With seating for family and friends, generous storage, and a well-balanced ride, the Supra Launch 24 SSV remains one of the most respected large inboards for wakeboarding and surfing.
The Supra Launch 24 SSV was introduced in the mid-2000s as the biggest model in Supra’s Launch lineup, produced by Skier’s Choice in Maryville, Tennessee. The “SSV” stood for Supra Sport V-drive, identifying it as a wake-specific model engineered to deliver strong wakes and room for large crews.
Measuring approximately 24 feet in length with an 8-foot 6-inch beam, the 24 SSV offered expansive seating and a deep, secure cockpit that handled rough water with confidence. The boat’s V-drive configuration placed the engine at the rear, which improved interior space and created ideal weight distribution for wake formation. Most models were powered by Indmar Assault or Indmar 340 engines producing 325 to 340 horsepower, while optional 409 horsepower upgrades became available in later years.
The Supra Launch 24 SSV came standard with Supra’s ballast system, providing about 1,950 pounds of total capacity distributed across rear and center tanks. This setup created large, ramp-style wakes for wakeboarding and strong surf waves when properly weighted. The SmartPlate wake adjustment system allowed riders to fine-tune wake shape and boat attitude on the fly.
Interior features included premium vinyl seating, deep storage compartments, and Supra’s signature Rad-A-Cage tower with board racks. The 24 SSV was known for its comfortable layout, smooth ride, and reliable performance under load. From 2006 through 2010, Supra refined materials, instrumentation, and ballast controls, improving user experience without altering the core hull design.
As wake surfing grew in popularity, the 24 SSV helped set the stage for Supra’s next generation of boats like the 242 and SA series. Today, the Supra Launch 24 SSV remains one of the most capable large inboards on the used market, appreciated for its blend of size, stability, and wake performance that continues to meet the needs of serious riders.
