Supra Launch 242 Boats for Sale
The Supra Launch 242 represents one of the largest and most capable wake boats Supra has ever produced. Built for riders who demand big, powerful wakes and ample space for family and friends, the 242 combines advanced design, solid construction, and premium fit and finish. With its deep hull, large ballast capacity, and strong Indmar power, the Supra Launch 242 delivers exceptional performance for wakeboarding and surfing while offering comfort and quality that stand out in its class.
The Supra Launch 242 was introduced around 2010 as the flagship model in Supra’s V-drive wake series produced by Skier’s Choice in Maryville, Tennessee. Designed to deliver professional-level wake performance, it built upon the success of the 21V and 22 SSV models with a larger footprint, expanded ballast system, and enhanced luxury features.
Measuring approximately 24 feet in length with an 8-foot 6-inch beam, the Launch 242 provided one of the roomiest interiors in the Supra lineup. Early versions were powered by Indmar Assault or Indmar 409 engines, producing between 340 and 409 horsepower depending on configuration. The V-drive layout and deep freeboard hull allowed the 242 to generate large, clean wakes that could be tuned for both wakeboarding and surfing.
The boat came standard with Supra’s factory ballast system, providing roughly 1,700 pounds of capacity, along with optional upgrades for riders seeking even more push behind the boat. Supra’s SmartPlate system offered further adjustability, allowing drivers to fine-tune wake shape and running attitude for different riders and conditions.
Inside, the Launch 242 featured premium upholstery, wraparound seating, and an expansive bow area. Details such as stainless hardware, LED interior lighting, and driver-oriented controls reflected Supra’s focus on quality and comfort. The Rad-A-Cage tower and swiveling board racks provided durability and easy access to gear, while the deep hull design gave passengers a secure, comfortable ride.
In later years, the 242 evolved into what became known simply as the Supra SA, which continued to refine the hull design and introduce surf-specific technologies. The original Launch 242 remains a standout for its powerful performance, excellent wake shape, and high build quality that still competes with newer models in the used market today.
