The Supra Legacy is a classic inboard ski boat that bridged the gap between traditional tournament-level ski performance and the comfort of a modern family runabout. Known for its clean wakes, precise handling, and solid construction, the Legacy reflected Supra’s focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. With its reliable inboard power, balanced hull design, and comfortable layout, the Supra Legacy remains a respected choice for boaters who appreciate a true direct-drive ski boat built to last.

The Supra Legacy was introduced in the mid to late 1990s by Skier’s Choice in Maryville, Tennessee, as a continuation of Supra’s strong reputation for tournament-grade ski boats. It replaced earlier models such as the Comp TS6M and Conbrio while introducing more modern styling and improved interior design.

Built on a 21-foot direct-drive hull, the Legacy was engineered to deliver soft, consistent wakes ideal for slalom skiing while still being versatile enough for recreational wakeboarding and family cruising. Supra designed the hull to track well through the course, providing stable pull and predictable handling. The boat’s weight distribution and low profile helped minimize spray and maintain a smooth transition across wakes.

Power came from inboard engines such as the Indmar Assault or PCM 351, typically producing between 300 and 325 horsepower. These engines provided reliable torque and quick acceleration for deep-water starts and consistent towing performance.

Inside, the Supra Legacy featured upgraded materials for its time, including high-quality vinyl seating, carpeted storage areas, and modern instrumentation. The interior layout offered more space than many earlier ski boats, with wraparound seating that made it suitable for family outings as well as dedicated ski sessions.

During its production years, the Legacy helped solidify Supra’s move toward more versatile boats that maintained ski performance while offering comfort and style. By the early 2000s, it was gradually replaced by the Sunsport and Launch series, which reflected the growing demand for wake-specific designs.

Today, the Supra Legacy is appreciated as a dependable, well-built ski boat that combines traditional performance with a touch of modern design. Owners value its straightforward mechanics, durable construction, and smooth wake characteristics that make it enjoyable for both skiing and general lake use.
