The Supra SR was introduced by Skier’s Choice in the mid-2010s as part of Supra’s new generation of surf-ready wake boats designed for efficiency, agility, and technology. Built at the company’s headquarters in Maryville, Tennessee, the SR filled an important role in the Supra lineup as a slightly smaller, performance-oriented alternative to the larger SA and SE models.
Measuring approximately 21 feet 8 inches in length with an 8-foot 6-inch beam, the Supra SR featured a deep, precision-tuned hull optimized for both wakeboarding and wakesurfing. Despite its compact size, it produced large, clean wakes and long, powerful surf waves thanks to Supra’s Swell Surf System and SmartPlate technology. The hull design offered exceptional maneuverability, making it easy to handle while still capable of delivering professional-quality wake performance.
The SR was powered by Indmar Raptor Series engines, available in 400, 440, and 575 horsepower configurations depending on model year. These engines provided excellent low-end torque and reliability, ensuring strong pull even under full ballast. The standard ballast system held over 2,000 pounds, giving riders flexibility to shape wakes for different skill levels and activities.
Inside, the Supra SR reflected the brand’s focus on craftsmanship and comfort. It featured plush vinyl upholstery, stainless hardware, deep wraparound seating, and Supra’s Vision Touch control system that integrated all surf, ballast, and speed settings into one touchscreen interface. The driver-focused helm design made operation intuitive, while the deep cockpit provided a secure, comfortable environment for up to fourteen passengers.
Throughout its production, the Supra SR continued to evolve with updates to surf technology, ballast capacity, and sound systems. It earned a reputation as one of the most balanced boats in its class, offering high-end wake performance, efficiency, and comfort in a compact footprint.
