Tige 2100v Boats for Sale
The Tige 2100 is a 21 foot direct drive inboard built for precise handling, smooth performance, and all around water sports versatility. Produced by Tige Boats in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the 2100 became well known for its innovative Convex V hull and ability to deliver both flat wakes for skiing and clean ramps for wakeboarding. Compact yet capable, the 2100 provided solid craftsmanship, reliable power, and excellent control, making it a favorite among boaters seeking a well balanced inboard for multiple water activities.
The Tige 2100 was introduced in the mid-1990s as one of the brand’s first crossover inboards designed to serve both slalom skiers and the emerging wakeboard community. It was built on a direct drive configuration that provided precise tracking and a balanced wake shape. The 2100 featured Tige’s patented Adjustable Performance System, known as TAPS, which allowed drivers to fine-tune the running attitude of the hull. By changing the wake shape at the touch of a control, the boat could move from a flatter ski wake to a larger, ramp-style wake ideal for wakeboarding.
In the late 1990s, Tige expanded the concept with the introduction of the 2100V, a V-drive version that shifted the engine to the rear of the boat to naturally produce a bigger wake. The 2100V shared much of the same hull design as the direct drive 2100 but offered more interior space and a layout that better suited wake sports. This model quickly gained attention among riders looking for a boat that delivered wakeboard performance without sacrificing comfort or versatility.
Both the 2100 and 2100V were built with Tige’s hand-laid fiberglass construction, strong stringer systems, and open bow configurations that made them practical for families. The 2100V in particular became one of Tige’s most successful early V-drive boats and helped establish the company’s position as a serious competitor in the wake boat market. Throughout their production run, these models were powered by reliable inboard engines from PCM or Indmar, depending on the year and configuration.
By the early 2000s, the 2100 series was succeeded by newer models such as the 22i and 22V, which continued the same design philosophy but with refined hull shapes and modernized interiors. Even so, many owners and riders still regard the 2100 and 2100V as standout models that captured Tige’s early commitment to innovation and versatility. These boats remain sought after for their strong performance, solid craftsmanship, and the adjustability provided by the TAPS system, which remains a defining feature of Tige boats to this day.
