The Tige 21V is a compact V-drive inboard boat that blends strong wake performance with family-friendly design. Introduced in the early 2000s, it became a key model in Tige’s lineup thanks to its versatility, comfort, and the company’s patented TAPS system, which allowed the driver to control wake shape without ballast. The Tige 21V appeared in the early 2000s as one of the company’s first compact V-drive boats built to meet growing demand for dedicated wakeboarding performance. While the Tige 21i focused on crossover use, the 21V placed a stronger emphasis on wake size, interior comfort, and space efficiency. The rear-mounted engine layout created a naturally larger wake while opening up a wide cockpit and wraparound seating that made the boat well suited for groups and families.
A key feature of the 21V was the inclusion of the TAPS system, which allowed fine adjustment of the running angle to modify the wake shape for different riders or sports. This innovation made it possible to use the same boat for wakeboarding, surfing, or recreational skiing without heavy ballast or manual setup. The hull of the 21V was designed using Tige’s ConvexV concept, which helped the boat settle naturally into the water for stronger wake formation while maintaining efficiency. Power options from PCM and Indmar delivered smooth performance across model years, typically ranging from 315 to 340 horsepower depending on configuration. Over time, the 21V evolved into later models such as the RZ2 and Z1, which continued to refine the same core ideas with updated styling and wake technology.
