Tige 2300v Boats for Sale
The Tige 2300 is a classic inboard boat that marked an important step in Tige’s development as a performance wake and ski brand. Produced in the mid to late 1990s, the 2300 offered more interior space and a larger hull than earlier Tige models, making it ideal for families and riders who wanted more room without sacrificing handling. With its innovative TAPS system and solid construction, the Tige 2300 delivered adjustable wake performance that appealed to both skiers and early wakeboarders.
The Tige 2300 was introduced in the mid 1990s as one of the company’s first larger inboard models. It built on the foundation of the earlier 2100 series by extending the length to about 23 feet, which provided additional passenger capacity and improved wake characteristics. The 2300 featured a direct drive layout in most configurations, although some versions were produced with V-drive setups toward the end of its run.
As with other Tige models of the time, the 2300 incorporated the company’s patented TAPS system, short for Tige Adjustable Performance System. This allowed the driver to change the boat’s running angle to fine tune wake size and shape. By raising or lowering the plate, the boat could move from a flatter ski wake to a steeper wake suited for wakeboarding, all without adding external ballast. This adjustability helped make the 2300 one of the most versatile boats in its size class during the 1990s.
The 2300’s hull featured Tige’s ConvexV design, which naturally enhanced wake performance and improved ride comfort. At cruising speeds, the hull provided smooth handling and stability even in moderate chop, while at riding speeds it created a clean, predictable wake. The boat’s extra length gave it a spacious interior with wraparound seating, an open bow, and generous storage, which made it practical for larger crews and long days on the water.
Power options for the 2300 typically included PCM and Indmar inboard engines, ranging from about 300 to 330 horsepower depending on the year and configuration. These engines provided reliable performance and strong low-end torque for towing riders. The boat’s construction featured hand-laid fiberglass and a strong stringer system, reflecting Tige’s focus on durability and long-term structural integrity.
By the late 1990s, the Tige 2300 was succeeded by newer models such as the 22i and 2300V, which incorporated more advanced styling and the growing popularity of V-drive configurations. However, the original 2300 remains respected among enthusiasts as one of the first Tige boats to combine space, performance, and wake adjustability in a larger footprint. It holds a lasting place in the brand’s history as a model that helped define Tige’s identity as an innovative builder of versatile inboard boats.
