The Tige 25 ZX, originally introduced as the ZX5, is a 25-foot flagship wake and surf boat built for those who want maximum space, luxury, and wave performance. As Tige’s largest model, the 25 ZX delivers massive, customizable surf waves and an exceptionally smooth ride even in rough water. Powered by Indmar’s Raptor engine lineup and designed with Tige’s Convex V hull and TAPS 3T surf system, the 25 ZX blends performance and refinement at the highest level. The model began life as the Tige ZX5 in 2018, introduced to replace the previous ASR as Tige’s largest wake and surf platform. The ZX5 was built on an expanded version of the Convex V hull, specifically engineered to create long, powerful surf waves with a wide sweet spot. The TAPS 3 surf system allowed riders to switch surf sides instantly and fine-tune wave size and shape. Power came from Indmar’s Raptor series engines, most commonly the 6.2-liter Raptor 440 or 575, both offering exceptional torque and reliability for the boat’s larger size and ballast capacity.
The 2019 and 2020 model years refined the ZX5 with updates to interior layouts, materials, and helm features. Tige’s CLEAR touchscreen display became standard, integrating control over ballast, surf systems, lighting, and audio. The ZX5 quickly earned a reputation for producing professional-grade surf waves with remarkable stability and comfort for passengers.
In 2021, Tige renamed the model the 25 ZX to match the updated naming structure across the lineup. While the hull and running surface remained the same, the 25 ZX introduced modernized styling, new upholstery patterns, and improved software for the CLEAR interface. The model also added features like RGB interior lighting, upgraded Wet Sounds audio options, and redesigned tower finishes.
The 2022 through 2024 25 ZX continued to evolve with incremental improvements in fit and finish. Updates included refined interior stitching, new gelcoat colors, and enhanced helm ergonomics. Throughout its production, the 25 ZX has remained Tige’s top-tier surf boat, offering the largest footprint, the most storage, and the most powerful surf capabilities in the lineup. Whether badged as the ZX5 or the 25 ZX, this model continues to stand out for its combination of luxury design, cutting-edge surf technology, and commanding on-water presence.
