Tige RZR Boats for Sale
The Tige RZR is a 20 foot V drive wake and surf boat that delivers impressive performance and technology in a compact, easy to handle design. Introduced in the early 2010s, it brought Tige’s ConvexV hull and TAPS 2 system to a smaller footprint without sacrificing wave size or quality. The RZR was built for riders who wanted big surf and wakeboard performance in a boat that could easily fit in most garages and handle tight waterways while maintaining Tige’s premium build quality and craftsmanship.
The Tige RZR was introduced for the 2011 model year as the smallest model in the RZ Series. At 20 feet long, it carried the same modern styling and performance features that defined the larger RZ2 and RZ4 models, including the bold pickle fork bow, ConvexV hull, and TAPS adjustable wake system. The goal was to offer a compact, garage-friendly boat that could still deliver true surf and wakeboard performance.
Despite its smaller size, the RZR was engineered for big water capability. The ConvexV hull design allowed the boat to settle deeper in the water at surf and wakeboard speeds, creating clean, powerful wakes and long surf waves. The TAPS 2 system enabled the driver to fine tune the running attitude and wake shape, giving the RZR surprising versatility for its size. This made it an ideal choice for families and riders who wanted a high-performance wake boat that was easy to tow, store, and maintain.
Inside, the RZR offered seating for up to twelve passengers, making efficient use of space through a smart interior layout. The wraparound cockpit seating, open bow, and deep storage compartments provided comfort and functionality. The helm featured modern styling with easy-to-read gauges, and later versions included touch screen controls that managed ballast, speed, and TAPS settings.
The RZR carried integrated ballast that added significant weight for its size, helping it produce larger, more shaped wakes for both surfing and wakeboarding. Many models included optional plug-and-play ballast bags for riders who wanted additional customization. Like all Tige boats, it featured hand-laid fiberglass construction, a composite stringer system, and high-quality materials that ensured long-term strength and reliability.
Power came from PCM or Indmar inboard engines, with most RZR models equipped with the 343 horsepower engines that provided smooth acceleration and plenty of torque. The boat’s lighter weight and efficient hull made it responsive and fuel efficient without compromising on performance.
The RZR remained in production through much of the 2010s, receiving updates to interior materials, tower design, and electronics as technology evolved. Although eventually succeeded by newer R Series and ZX models, the RZR remains one of Tige’s most respected small wake and surf boats. It is known for combining the handling and convenience of a 20 foot boat with the wave performance of much larger models, making it a favorite among both first-time inboard buyers and seasoned riders.
