The Tige RZX was first introduced for the 2016 model year as the most advanced wake and surf boat in the company’s lineup. Following the success of the RZ Series, the RZX was designed to deliver improved performance, technology integration, and comfort. It represented the beginning of a new generation for Tige, focusing on surf-specific engineering and refined luxury.

At 23 feet in length, the RZX offered a spacious interior and deep freeboard that made it ideal for large crews and long sessions on the water. The boat’s ConvexV hull worked in harmony with the TAPS 3 surf system to produce long, powerful surf waves on either side of the boat without the need to shift ballast. With just a touch on the GO System touchscreen, the driver could automatically set up the boat for surfing, wakeboarding, or cruising, adjusting ballast, speed, and TAPS position in seconds.

The RZX carried over 3,000 pounds of integrated ballast distributed throughout the hull, which could be fine-tuned through the control interface for personalized wave shaping. The combination of hull design, TAPS 3 adjustability, and Indmar Raptor power made the RZX one of the most capable surf and wake boats in its class.

Inside, the RZX featured high quality upholstery, refined stitching, and ergonomic design that emphasized both comfort and functionality. Seating for up to sixteen passengers was arranged in a wraparound lounge configuration with a deep bow and large transom area for easy water access. The helm featured the Tige Clear touchscreen control system, which managed all key functions including surf settings, lighting, and music. Wet Sounds audio components, a reversible rear seat, and abundant storage rounded out the interior amenities.

Powering the RZX were Indmar Raptor series engines, including the Raptor 400 and Raptor 440 options. These engines provided the torque and reliability necessary to handle full ballast and heavy surf conditions with ease. The boat’s hull design delivered predictable handling and a comfortable ride even in rougher water, making it versatile for both performance and cruising.

Throughout its production, the RZX continued to evolve with updates to styling, software, and tower design. Later versions incorporated advanced touchscreen layouts, improved surf plate geometry, and refined interior materials. The model’s success led to the creation of the RZX2 and RZX3, both of which built on the RZX’s foundation with different size and feature variations.

Even today, the original Tige RZX stands as one of the brand’s most important and respected models. It represents the moment Tige fully transitioned into modern surf technology while maintaining its core values of innovation, craftsmanship, and performance.
