Tige RZX2 Boats for Sale
The Tige RZX2 is a 22-foot premium wakeboard and surf boat built from 2016 through 2019. Known for its versatile performance and refined design, the RZX2 delivers powerful wakes and waves thanks to Tige’s Convex V hull and TAPS 3 surf system. Inside, it offers luxury features, modern styling, and seating for up to 15 passengers, making it a standout in the midsize class of towboats. With responsive handling, solid construction, and a reputation for producing clean wakes for both beginners and pros, the RZX2 remains one of Tige’s most popular models from its era.
Tige introduced the RZX2 in 2016 as the smaller sibling to the flagship RZX3. It carried over many of the same design cues, including aggressive lines, bold color options, and a focus on surf performance. The 2016 model featured Tige’s Convex V hull and the TAPS 3 system, which together created customizable surf waves on either side without requiring additional ballast beyond the factory setup. Power options included Indmar Raptor engines, most commonly the 400 or 440 models, delivering reliable torque and smooth acceleration.
In 2017, the RZX2 saw subtle updates focused on comfort and convenience rather than structural changes. Tige refined the interior materials, improved helm ergonomics, and enhanced the audio system with Wet Sounds components. The overall performance characteristics remained consistent, continuing to position the RZX2 as a premium midsize surf boat.
By 2018, Tige added more digital integration through the Tige CLEAR touchscreen helm, consolidating control of ballast, surf settings, and audio into one intuitive interface. This update gave the RZX2 a more modern driving experience while maintaining the proven hull and surf systems. Build quality also saw incremental improvements, including upgraded vinyl and improved stitching durability.
The final 2019 model year continued with the same core platform but introduced new color and upholstery options. Many of these boats came with upgraded tower speakers, enhanced RGB lighting, and improved surf presets. Tige concluded production of the RZX2 after 2019 to make room for newer RZX models that continued the same design philosophy on updated platforms. Despite its four-year run, the RZX2 remains highly sought after on the used market for its balance of size, power, and surf quality.
