Tige introduced the ZX1 in 2019 as the first model in the new ZX series, created to blend the luxury and surf technology of the RZX line with a slightly smaller, more storage-friendly size. The boat is built on the proven Convex V hull, designed to naturally form powerful wakes and surf waves with less drag. Paired with the TAPS 3 surf system, the ZX1 allows riders to customize wave shape and height at the push of a button. Power was provided by Indmar’s Raptor 400 or optional Raptor 440 engines, both known for delivering strong, consistent torque.
The 2020 and 2021 models continued with the same hull design but featured refinements to the interior and helm technology. Tige’s CLEAR touchscreen display became the central command for surf settings, lighting, and audio, making it one of the most user-friendly systems in its class. The ZX1’s layout included convertible seating, deep storage compartments, and Wet Sounds audio components, creating a premium experience in a 21-foot format.
For 2022 and 2023, Tige introduced new color and material options along with upgraded lighting and tower configurations. The ZX1 also benefited from software updates that improved ballast control and surf customization. While the overall structure and running surface remained consistent, these refinements made the boat feel even more modern and integrated with the rest of the ZX series.
The 2024 ZX1 continued to build on this foundation with subtle updates to hardware and finishes while retaining the proven Convex V and TAPS 3T system.
