The foundation of everything the S240 does on the water is the Easy-V hull. It's a deep-V design that parts the water and pushes it behind the boat rather than letting it scatter to the sides. The result is a surf wave that's more powerful and longer than what a flat-bottom hull can produce with equivalent ballast. You also get a noticeably smoother ride through chop, which matters when you're out for a full day with the family. This hull is closely related to the Centurion Opti-V 2.0, and it's particularly forgiving for first-time surfers still dialing in their technique.
The Quicksurf Pro System is what makes wave setup so effortless. Three plates at the transom work together: the patented Silent Stinger center plate routes exhaust down and away from riders without touching the wave shape, while the two side plates shift water from one side to the other in as little as 1.8 seconds. Each plate adjusts across 20 increments between 0 and 100 percent, so you can fine-tune the wave without changing speed or touching the ballast. One-button surf activation handles ballast, speed, and plate settings automatically, and the center Stinger plate control sits to the left of the steering wheel for quick on-the-fly adjustments. Getting a great wave out of this boat does not require a learning curve.
The ballast system on the S240 is genuinely impressive for this segment. Subfloor tanks run from the transom to roughly mid-boat for the right weight distribution, and the plug-and-play bags in the side lockers push total capacity to 5,600 lbs. That's more factory-installed ballast than any boat not built by Centurion or Supreme. Run the bags empty for a lighter crew, partially filled for a mixed day, or topped off when you want the biggest wave the boat can throw. Step aboard and the first thing you notice is how much space there is. The cockpit is rated for 16 people, and it feels it. The Mocha and Black vinyl throughout is the same quality used in Centurion boats, wrapping every seating and interior surface with no exposed fiberglass or plastic panels cutting corners. The Champ audio system comes loaded: 8-inch interior speakers, a subwoofer, and a pair of Wetsounds REV-10 tower speakers that fill the cove without straining. The Sewlong Double XL bimini covers from the tower to just forward of the windshield, shading nearly the entire cockpit, and it includes heat-resistant surfboard pockets so boards won't blister sitting in the sun. The built-in heater with one snorkel vent and two fixed vents means early mornings and late-season days are genuinely comfortable, not something to push through. The wireless charging phone holder is built into the helm, and the touchscreen control panel keeps everything from ballast to stereo to rider presets within easy reach.
