This Olive Pewter Metal Flake Nv243 is a full-performance surf boat configured exactly the way a family should order one: the proven PCM 5.3L ZZ5, the power folding tower, a tri-axle trailer, and every piece of technology Centurion builds into the NV series standard.
The Nv243 runs the same Opti-V 2.0 hull as the Centurion Ri series, which is the same hull responsible for what we consider the biggest, longest, and most customizable surf wave available. Twenty degrees of deadrise at the transom means the hull displaces water before you've added a pound of ballast, so the wave builds quickly and holds its shape across a wide range of rider weights and styles. With 5,200 lbs of factory ballast on board, you're not chasing a wave with sandbags and improvisation. It's built in, and it fills fast. The Fast Mover system with high-flow stainless steel Seaflow pumps gets everything topped off in just a few minutes so you spend more time riding and less time waiting at idle.
Quicksurf Pro handles side-to-side switching, and the Silent Stinger wake plate shapes the wave without diverting exhaust toward the rider. The paddle shifters on the steering wheel let the driver fine-tune plate position and cruise speed without taking a hand off the wheel, which matters more than people realize once you're actively managing a surfer behind the boat. The DropZone Power Folding Tower folds in 10 seconds and rises in 14 using dual Linak electric actuators with floating mounts, so there's no vibration and no slamming. Skylon Spring Lock board racks keep boards secure up top, and life jacket hooks inside the tower legs keep the cockpit clear.
The ZZ5 is a 5.3L engine with the PowerPull transmission, and it pulls hard. We've run this combination fully loaded at over 7,600 feet of elevation at Scofield Reservoir and hit surf speed without issue. If you're boating at altitude in Texas or anywhere in the mountain west, this engine handles it. It's also the most fuel-efficient engine-and-hull pairing in the towboat category, and with a 70-gallon tank, long days on the water are very much on the table.
The Mocha and Olive Gray vinyl with cool-touch base and hex accents is a combination that looks sharp and holds up. Cool-touch upholstery makes a real difference on a hot Texas afternoon when the boat has been sitting in the sun. The Cobra Racing driver's seat is genuinely the most comfortable seat I've spent time in on any towboat, with a built-in leg notch that makes it natural to turn and watch the rider without contorting. The sliding bench seat gives the cockpit real flexibility depending on how many people you're running and what they need.
The Pano HD dash runs everything: ballast, surf settings, lighting, music, rider profiles, and the front and rear camera feeds. The rear camera is built into the transom and feeds directly to the dash so the driver sees what's happening behind the boat in real time. The Champ audio system with the driver's remote keeps volume and Quicksurf controls right at hand. There's a wireless charging holder at the helm, a built-in walkway trash can (one of those details that makes a full day on the water actually work), and a heater with two snorkel vents and one fixed vent for early mornings or late-season runs when the air is cool. All storage lockers are Rhino lined throughout, which means no mildew and no worrying about wet gear sitting in there for a week. The plug-and-play ballast bags in the side lockers only take up about half the locker space when completely full, so there's still room for vests, ropes, and wetsuits alongside them. The large pickle-fork bow seats three or more comfortably and is designed to stay dry when you're turning back to pick up a surfer, with cup holders, speakers, accent lights, and charging ports built in.
The Nv243 is what we call our value Ri245, meaning you get the same Centurion hull, the same ballast capability, and the same wave performance as our flagship model at a meaningfully lower price point. This particular unit is finished in a color combination that photographs beautifully and holds up in the Texas sun, and it's built out with everything a family needs to get on the water and stay there all day. Backed by a five-year base warranty, a five-year engine warranty, and a lifetime warranty on the deck, hull, and stringer system, this is a purchase you make once and enjoy for a long time.
